EVP Electronic Voice Phenomena

A Personal View by Nic C Of Ghost Finders
What follows is a brief explanation into why I believe in the reality of EVP.
My own research into EVP goes back to 1971 as it was at this time that a book was published in Britain by a Dr Konstantine Raudive a well known Latvian psychologist and one time student of Carl Jung , the title of the book was “Breakthrough” having bought the book I decided after reading it that this was the area of research that I wanted to involve myself in, and after purchasing a reel to reel tape recorder I set about trying to capture my first voice . |
This came about after months of trying, and it came one night when I was alone ,I set up my microphones on the table in front of me and asked that if there was anyone present could they please assist me almost immediately I heard what I could only describe as a sound like click ,from somewhere above me at this point I sensed a coldness in the room , on playing back the recorder I realized that I may have captured my first voice, as the recorder speed was set at 7 ½ ips it then had to be o be slowed down to 3 ¾ ips ,it was indeed the voice of a young child calling ”I’m Here” .
Since then I have amassed a large collection of voices, which I have captured in all sorts of places. some threatening some loving, others calling for help the latter being the ones I find most distressing, as a result I now always try to say a small prayer followed by a request that if there are anyone present who find Themselves lost or confused to turn towards the light and they will find someone waiting for them, since I have started doing this there has been a dramatic fall in this type of request. |
I realize that this area of research has its critics possibly because of the use of radios, personally I have always avoided using one, as it could be argued that it was stray radio signals, that were the source of the voices, but when you consider that the voices have been recorded in Faraday cages, and that any researcher that I know of have never had a burst of music in response to a question.
Psycho Kinesis (PK) is another theory that is used to explain the source of the voices this I cant accept as some of the voices I have received have been of a threatening nature followed by name calling ,surely if my subconscious were the source of the utterances then I would expect the voices to be a more complementary nature.

There is also the peculiar manner in which the voices are received, in my in my collection I have voices that will call out a certain name and when the file is reversed it will be saying something completely different for example I have one that is calling out my name and in reverse it is saying hello, in another there is a child calling pa pa when this was also reversed it like I was being asked how I was in Italian… What should pa pa sound like in reverse? Incidentally, I am of Italian decendency.
Another aspect of this phenomena are the voices that are received in reverse or have to be slowed down or sped up to be understood, there is also the strange singing voices though I have only ever received 3or 4of these they do tend to be female |

Then there are the clicks that can be heard in some files prior to the voices coming through, this was believed by early researchers to be coming from transmitting stations on the other side, this was a view held by Pro Raudive as he mentioned 2or 3 of them by name in Breakthrough.
Things have changed greatly since the publication of Breakthrough as we now have digital voice recorders that are much easier to work with and the quality of the recordings haven’t suffered greatly, infact if anything in many cases they have led to improved reception. not to mention the fact that we no longer need to Carry bulky recording equipment to investigations. At the time of writing I am trying to set up a question and answer sessions , using white noise as a carrier source early indications are promising though the only problem seems to be the distorted replies that I am receiving ….however I am working on it and shall keep you posted.

Dealing with voice issues and phone
calls can be an enormous timesink. Thank goodness there's a contact center
solution to solve all those issues! It's not quite like EVP
but it does have live
chat with a real person. Don't get bogged down in voice
system issues!
While much can be achieved using a digital voice recorder, yet still more data can be obtained and captured using a simple digital video
recorder. With this type of equipment you'll be able to monitor and
record via photos via security
cameras that can be plugged into the back of the DVR.
